17th C. Battle of Vienna Period Ottoman Jade Wootz Khanjar Dagger with gold inlaid tendrils and ruby خنجر

A rare dagger. A very elegant late 17th-early 18th C. Ottoman jade handled dagger. This style of hilt is known on numerous captured pieces after the Battle of Vienna in 1683. This piece is likely a bit later to the early 18th C. The scabbard is most likely from the 19th C. but is silver and chiseled throughout. The pommel is inlaid with a very fine 24kt gold tendril with a ruby in the middle. Overall is 13", blade is 8 1/2"
