18th C. Safavid Persian Wootz Kard

A very fine safavid era Persian kard with a gorgeous thick wootz blade of very fine forging. This example is chiselled along the forte of the blade and is inlaid with gold on the bolster and on the forte as well. It has an armor piercing tip and is a very well balanced and quite large kard for this type. Overall length is 15 1/5, blade is 9 1/2. 1/4 thick blade and 1 1/4 wide
