19th C. Algerian or Moroccan Flyssa Sword or Dagger

Sold

    Description

A good example of a 19th C. Algerian flyssa. This example has the characteristic nicely carved wooden handle with a finely carved steel blade inlaid with brass designs. The scabbard is quite interesting and displays the French influence as it is a French bayonet scabbard adapted for the sword and fits perfectly.

Overall length is 25, blade is 16.
