19th C. Bhutanese Tibetan Sword

A quite uncommon and rare Bhutanese sword from the 19th C. These types of swords are characterized by the good, heavy, single edge, double fullered and hollow ground blade and the open side scabbard. This one is in very nice condition with fine aging on the parts of the blade that have been exposed. You can see that the areas covvered by the bands have remained slightly brighter as the back edge as well. Overall length is 26", blade is 18", 1 1/2" wide
