19th C. Chinese Ching Dynasty Trousse Dagger set with shark skin mounted scabbard

( ID: ia642 )

A very uncommon Chinese 19th C. trousse set. This example is mounted in sharkskin and is detailed with teardrops shape which give this example a more pleasing appearance than most Chinese trousses.  The blade is quite dark but easily restorable while the handle scales are made of a very finely grained type of wood, possibly cherry due to the richly decorative grain.

Overall length 12", blade is 6".
