    A beautiful19th to early 20th C. Saudi or Arabian Peninsula saif sword.

    This is a classic style Saudi sword likely presented tosomeone of high rank. Mounts are sheet gold embossed of fine quality with Persian and Arabian motifs. The blade is a European trade blade of fine quality, marked C. Putsch, and can be dated to the period 1830-1850. C. Putsch is listed as German retailer in Solingen operating in the period 1830-1850 in German Swords and Sword Makers by Richard Bezdek. Grip scales are made of bone or antler.

    The sword is in overall 95% condition, with all of the mounts in excellent shape with no damages and retaining a bright reddish gold lustre.

    A very fine sword for the discerning collector, and an example difficult to upgrade.
