This piece is forged from wootz steel which can be seen between the prodigious etching, chiseling and gold koftgari that covers the entire helmet. The helmet has four sun faces around the sides and is nearly completely covered in engravings of Rustam and other Persian heros. The devil's head at the top symbolizes the devil, shetani, that Rustam killed in his mythical battles. A very elegant and rare helmet for the discerning collector.
