19th C. Silver Balkan Ottoman Jambiya Dagger

A very fine example of a classic 19th C. Ottoman Balkan jambiya. This piece has a very large and solid silver handle with very fine silver chase and repousse work . The blade is of a good Turkish style wootz which can be seen throughout and the scabbard is of an Arab Iraqi style. The dagger is in very good condition with very few losses of the silver, a very small break which can be seen in the pictures, but otherwise is in very fine condition. OAL 19.
