19th C. Wootz Indian Mughal Zirah Bouk Kard Dagger

( ID: id1134 )

A fine example of a 19th C. Indian kard but with a large and hardened inserted tip ito create an armor piercing tip in the form of a zirah bouk dagger.

The grip is finely chiseled and chased silver with a floral pattern and the blade is wootz, while the hardened edge appears to be damascus steel. A fine and interesting example.
