A beautiful 19th C. Imperial Russian shashka made with silver and gilded silver pointillist work. This example wears a Zlatoust made blade and was adapted by being fitted with a Georgian style gilded silver and niello inlaid handle. The scabbard top mount is ensuite as is the middle carrying ring. The chape is missing and was replaced contemporary with the life of the piece with leather. The blade is from an 1881 Officers Shashka sword and is marked Zlatoust Fabric.
A quite rare example.
Overall length is 38". Blade is 29".
