Antique Indian Brass Mace

( ID: i391 )
A very uncommonly seen antique Indian mace. This example is mounted with a finely cast brass head with a nice patina, and appears to have been made from a rifle barrel repurposed as a long and heavy handle. The "pommel" and the "ferrule" are made from nicely chased silver. Overall it is quite heavy definitely could be used to today and has a surprisingly good balance. Dates from the 19th C. Overall is 23", head is 3" in diameter.
