Excellent 19th C. Caucasian Shashka by Mudunov

A really fine example of these rare swords. This example is mounted with a finely carvedgrip and mounted with a silver and niello decorated crossguard. The blade is a superlative example of a deep curve and finely etched with the name of Mudunov and stamped with his maker name stamp. Dates from the mid to late 19th C.
