    Description

    This representative example of a North Indian khyber is one of the finest examples we've owned.

    Dating to the late 18th- early 19th C. this example has several features which sepeate it from most common example. This includes the silver grip scales, the thick and fine quality gold koftgari decoration, and the fine Kara Khorasan style black wootz which is visible and present throughout with no losses or dead areas.

    The pommel has a finely formed fitting with a five petaled flower indicative of Rajput origin.

    Very overall condition.
