A matching pair of Ottoman or North African stirrups made iron. The rectangular bases each gilt and pierced with a stylised rosette, the arched side bars and cross-bar with semi-circle hoops, gold overlaid with foliate scrolls and geometric designs.
Both of these are stamped with a matching maker mark, Said, a somewhat prolific maker of armor whose work can be found in museums worlwide.
Condition is very fine with almost no losses of gold koftgari.
