Fine 19th C. Chinese Dao Sword, heavy lamellar construction

Fine 19th C. Chinese sword of heavy weight and likely lamellar construction. Original leather scabbard with red cloth covering. The blade is inlaid with a copper wheel, possibly a Buddhist symbol.  Very sharp and well constructed sword.  Remains razor sharp.

Overall length is 26", blade is 18", nearly 1/4" thick at the ricasso.
