A fine example of a 19th C. Ottoman Turkish kard mounted with agate slad grips, and gilded copper, or tombac, mounts. The blade is of very fine quality and displays a vivid wootz pattern throughout.
The original scabbard appears to be a vellum like materials over wood and is in the Central Asian or Persianate style withpart of the grip visible once the dagger is all the way in.
