Fine 19th C. Ottoman Turkish Wootz Kilich or Pala Sword

One of the most desirable swords of the Ottoman Turkish arsenal. This example is in nearly perfect condition with a fine crystalline wootz blade. The blade retains some gold inlay at the base of the yelman and the wootz pattern can be seen throughout with a damascus pattern forming the hardened ricasso for the first few inches. The handle is made of very finely grained honey colored horn with a brass crossguard.
Dates from the early 19th C.
