Fine Antique19th C. Visayan Philippines Dagger Dirk in shape to a navaja

A very uncommon dagger. This example is from the Visayan region of the Philippines and displays some of the finest quality work on a Philippino dagger we've encountered. The hilt with ferrule and pommel of finely wrought and engraved silver. The grip a single section of dark horn very finely and elaborately carved in relief, comprising floral and basketweave motifs.  

Overall length is 11", blade is 6" long and 2 1/2" wide.
