The Talibon sword is the primary sword of the Christian tribes of northern Philippines. The heavy and very sharp blade has a beveled edged witha thick spine. The original carved wooden handle is wrapped with cane, and the wooden scabbard has the original hanging cloth as well with a Chinese coin. This sword is characterized by the floral style pommel and was the favored weapon of the Dios-Dios cult, also known as the Pulajanes.
A fine condition and original battle sword.
Overall length is 27", blade is 20" and 1/4" thick at the spine.
