Late 18th C. Indian Mughal Bichwa Dagger Gilded Copper grip with original scabbard

( ID: id1014 )

A fine late 18th c.  Indian bichwa dagger, or Scorpion dagger, with double blades and the original gilt gopper engraved copper mounted scabbard, mounted in the Oudh or Sindh style. Normally found with less aesthetic appeal, this bichwa is finely crafted with a gilded copper grip surmounted with a small finial cap.  The double blades are in fine untouched condition with some age darkening provided a nice contrast to the gilt copper grip.

Overall length is 12 1/2".
