Rare 19th C. Pair of Vietnamese Dao swords
|( ID: cs953 )|
A rare paired example daos. This pair was likely either made in the style of polearm blade or are polearms that were modified to be used as swords. The blades are thick with a fine taper, and one seems to display a damascus pattern. The crossguard are similar but different in shape as are the handles.
Dates to the 19th C. or earlier.
Overall length 29", with 22" blade 1/4" thick at the ricasso.
A very fine and true fighting pair.
