    Description

    A rare 18th C. English or British doghead officers sword. This example is mounted in a fire gilded hilt with a dog head pommel infine condition. The blade is multi-fullered earlier blade dating to the early 18th C. and likely a family heirloom blade, remounted in very unique mounts, possibly for presentation, and likey for an Army officer judging by the army officer sword style crossguard though the side bar guard is in a more cavalry-esque style..

    The scabbard locket is marked to Prosser, the famous sword maker in London. The grip is covered sharkskin.

    Overall length is 39, blade is 32.
