Superb Late 19th C. Chinese late Qing period Jian straight sword

Finest late 19th C. Chinese late Qing jian that I've had. Condition is perfect. Almost all the gilding remains, no losses to anything, except the tiniest crack in of the fittings, which is barely visible.

The blade is exceptional and you can see the hardened edge underneath the polish. This was not a show blade.

It rings beautifully and is certainly of lamellar forging of the highest level of quality. Remains razor sharp.

Etching also remains in very fine condition.

Overall length is 42, blade is 32.
