# 16th\-19th C. Wheellock Axe

Status: Sold · Region: Europe

One a of a kind European combination weapon. It is a large and oversized axe mounted on a wheelock mechanism. The overall piece is most likely Victorian, but the mechanism appears to be considerably older and is most likely an original 16th C. mechanism mounted by a skilled Victorian armorer. It truly is a one of a kind weapon with the barrell making up the handle, and weight being substantial and quite difficult to wield. Overall a great addition to any collection. 26 in length, 5 width and very heavy nearly 10 pounds.
