A very fine example of a late 17th C. Dutch or German transitional rapier. This example has a really high quality brass hilt chiseled heavily on both sides with fighting scenes. The blade is a very finely made two stage example with pierced work near the middle and gold inlays at the ricasso. Very fine condition example. The handle is slightly shaky.
