Beautiful and complete 18th C. Indo-Persian straight pallash with a wootz blade and gold koftgari running the entire length of the sword. This example has a very fine wootz blade, which can been seen throughout the blade. The original scabbard is covered in red leather, and has very fine silver inlaid fittings that match the tulwar handle decoration and lead me to believe that these were together for quite some time. A very fine and rare Islamic straight sword. 36 length. 31 blade length, 2 blade width.
