18th C. Persian Wootz Karud Dagger

Status: Sold · Region: Middle East, Ottoman Turkey, Persia · Type: Daggers

Wonderful 18th C. Persian black kara wootz karud dagger. This example is in very fine condition and especially fine with the original gilt brass mounted red velvet scabbard. The blade is forged of very fine black wootz highly visible throughout. The ferrule on one side is unfortunately missing, however overall the karud presents a very pleasing appearance. Overall length is 19, blade is 11.
