19th C. Fine Indian Dhal Shield

Status: Sold · Region: Islamic Antiques · Type: Other

A very nice chased and repoussed Indian dhal shield from the 19th C. This is not one of those newly made Indian junk pieces, but a heauy brass display shield fo very nice quality. The brass has been hammered from the inside and then chased for the final detailing on the front side. It is unfortunately missing a bolster but that can be found at a hardware suppyly store. It displays very well.

Diameter is 21".
