19th C. Indo-Persian Percussion Dahl Gun Shield

Status: Sold · Region: India · Type: Armor

A fine 19th C. Persian dhal or Indian sipar with a very rare percussion gun mechanism built into the shield. This example has remained in very nice condition and the percussion mechanism is in very fine condition, and fully functional. The shield remains in good condition as well retaining a good percentage of its original koftgari. Definitely a rare addition to any collection. 12 diameter.
