Early 19th C. English Presentation Sword

Status: Sold · Region: Europe · Type: Swords

19th C. English artillery officers presentation sword. This example has a clean and nicely patinaed handle with a gilted lionhead fittings. The leather and gilt mounted scabbard is also in good condition and only a bit soft. The blade is very interesting and made in the style of a Turkish kilich, with a nicely swelling yelman for the last 1/3 of the blade length. The blade is frost etched with nice martial designs and the symbols for HAC. A fine early English officers sword.
