Status: Sold · Region: Middle East, Ottoman Turkey, Persia

A very fine and original 19th C. Ottoman Turkish Kubur pistol.

Beautiful pistol with mounts of extraordinary quality; the heavy butt-plates could have been used as maces once shot the cartridge. This example is in very fine condition, with excellent quality silver filigree throughout. The barrel is overlaid in gold koftgari as are the metal fittings of the lock. The butt is inlaid with corals and with silver niello plaques. A very nice example of its type.
