A really gorgeous 17th-18th C. Polish or Hungarian sword. This example a real fighting example with a beautiful figural iron hilt with a thumb ring and finely decorativelong quillons. The blade is a fine heavy example remaining in good condition for it's age. The handle leather is somewhat worn but still remains some suppleness. An elegant example of this type of swordand a true battle sword from the heyday of the Polish and Hungarian legions.
