# Exceptional 19th C. Ethiopian Saif Shotel with gilded and blued blade

A very fine and large example of a 19th C. Ethiopian saif with the original leather scabbard and belt. The blade is an excellent example and the only one of its type I've seen and is decorated with blueing and gilded along the entire length of the fuller on both sides.

The hilt is of one piece and is in excellent condition.

Overall length is 39, hilt is 4 1/2 long and 4 3/4 wide.
