Fine 18th C. Mughal Indian Wootz tulwar sword

A very fine and quite early Indian Mughal tulwar with a beautifully chiselled iron and gold overlaid handle. The blade is very finely made of nice Persian wootz, the pattern which can be seen throughout the blade. Very nice original condition, with original scabbard. Dates from the late 17th C.-mid 18th C.

Overall 35", blade is 29", width is 2.5".
