Fine 19th C. Chinese Qing Dynasty Army Sword

Status: Sold · Region: China, East Asia, Tibet · Type: Swords

A good example of this type of sword. This example is completely original with all matching fittings and in untouched condition. The cord wrapped handle is in good condition, with thick finely aged brass fittings which provide a good counterbalance to the heavy damascus blade. The blade displays a slight pattern which can be seen in the photographs but which needs a cleaning to be brought out. The scabbard is covered in sharkskin and in good condition.

Overall length is 33.5, blade is 27.
