Imperial Russian Caucasian Kindjal Dagger with gold koftgari signed and dated 1275AH=1859

Status: Sold · Type: Daggers

A good example of a Caucasian dagger or kindjal with a finely gold overlaid koftgari blade displaying typical south Caucasian or Georgian designs, with the small dragon heads at the tips of the gold panels. The original scabbard still retains much of the velvet finish and fits well. The handle is in fine condition as well and the displays no pitting or poor condition issues.

A fine example of this type of kindjal.
