A super fine short katana, o-wakizashi blade. This example is an absolutely 99% condition and polish, which shows off the nie and nio of the hamon which is visible all throughout as well as a very lively hada as well, see the many pictures for details. The tang had been shortened at some point but the remaining signature shows it dated to 1837. Shirasaya is solid and in very nice solid condition. Cutting edge is 24".
