A fine example of a late 18th C. to early 19th C. Scottish military officer's basket hilt sword of the period of the Napoleonic Wars between France, Great Britain (consitited of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland), and the united Allied armies of the continent. Finely crafted nickel basket hilt with wire bound sharkskin grip and red felt and wash leather liner. Sword is tight with no shaking and constitutes a fine historical artifact.
