Pair 19th C. Indian Bidriware Rug holder birds

Status: Sold · Region: Islamic Antiques · Type: Other

A fantastic and very large pair of 19th C. Indian bidriware birds likely to be used to hold a rug down. This pair is in very fine condition with silver koftgari "Bidri" covering both birds which are of different design and decoration, but obviously a pair. A really fine addition to a bidriware collection or an Indian or Islamic art collection.
