Rare 19th C. Persian Turcoman Bukhara Kard Dagger

Status: Sold · Region: Islamic Antiques · Type: Antiques

This is an interesting example of a very scarce type of Central Asian kard dagger. The silver work on the scababrd with the stone inlays denotes it as from Bukharan where this kind of silver decoration work was prevalent. The blade is wootz but has some pitting near the edge and in a few other places. However a complete set as this piece is quite rare especially with the Bukharan scabbard. OAL 12 ?
