# RARE Model 1847 Austrian Experimental Pioneers Sword

Status: Sold · Region: Europe · Type: Other

A quite rare Model 1847 Austrian Pioneers short sword. There were few of these made and many of those were sold to the Ottoman army, where they were marked in Turkish. This example is considerably rare as it has no Ottoman markings at all and is mothballed Austrian example. Very uncommon sword. 27" overall, blade is 21"
