Super RARE WWII Chinese Fighting Knife

Status: Sold · Region: China, East Asia, Tibet · Type: Other

A very rare find. This was purchased from the estate an American war vet who flew the hump in WWII, landing in Xinjiang for nearly a year, he also fought in the Korean War. Out of his estate comes this really fine Chinese figthing knife. The handle appears to be made from the Communist cavalry sword, but it is mounted in a completely professional manner. The scabbard is in perfect condition and the blade is blackened to prevent shine. I think this was likely some sort of Chinese commando's knife, either in WWII or in Korea. In either case, I've never seen another like it. Perfect condition.

Overall length is 14", blade is 8.5", 2.75" wide
