    Description

    A very rare type of 19th C. Ottoman Turkish khanjar dagger composed entirely of carved ebony wood. The handle and scabbard are beautifully formed and carved with the finest late Ottoman period, European influenced baroque aesthetic, floral carving. The quality is outstanding and represents the apex of Ottoman baroque design.

    The blade is finely formed with a raised rib and perfectly clean and in very fine condition. The silver plate at the base handle is loose but otherwise condition is superb with no damage to the carving or wood at all.
