17th C. Polish War Hammer Czekan Nadziak

A gorgeous and rare early Polish war hammer. The hammer head on this example is from the 17th C. and displays charcateristic Polish style incisings on the head and proper old age and some pitting, though minor. The wooden handle is a later addition, probably 19th C., judging by age on the wood. Overall, a quite rare war hammer, particularly because of the Polish origin. 29 1/2 length, 8 length of warhammer head.
