Antique Ottoman Turkish 19th C. Kard with agate handle and gold inlays

Sold

    Description

A fine example of an antique Ottoman dagger, aesthetically similar to a kard and from that same family of weapons. This example has a nicely formed agate handle with inlaid gold tendrils similar to those on older Turkish pieces. The original green velvet covered scabbard fits nicely as well. The blade is made of wootz with a visible pattern and remains of gold and silver koftgari at the base.
