A fine example of a Mughal tulwar with a finely watered wootz steel blade, and a scarf weld at the base. The tulwar has the original scabbard and displays a good pattern throughout. The scabbard is worn velvet and remains in nice condition.
This example dates to the early 19th C. century and is a fine representative example of a fighting sword of that era, though it is possibly earlier.
Overall length is 34, blade is 28.
