M1898 German WWI Quillback Prussian Bayonet with Ersatz Metal Scabbard

A good example of a M1898 Prussian quillback bayonet. This uncommon example has the original ersatz all metal scabbard which were replacement for the leather and metal mounted ones that rotted apart in the humid and filthy conditions of the trenches. The blade on this example is marked W, for Wilhelm, and 14 for 1914 the year of manufacture.
