Outstanding WWI and Provisional Period Imperial Russian Generals Golden Sword

A gorgeous and rare style of sword. This example has a gilded hilt with the original knot. The blade is a 1909 shashka officers form made by WKC Solingen but with an all chrome scabbard in the style of a 1913 Officers Saber. One of the only examples of this style we've encountered.

The gilded hilt displays that this was an officers or General's sword of a very high level of quality. The blade and the pommel of the handle have had the marks of NII erased during the provisional period but the sword otherwise remains in exceptional condition.
