Superb Circa 1800 Persian Zand or Qajar Armour Set, including khulah khud helmet, bazuband, and shield, wootz with silver/gold inlay

A superb quality late 18th C- early 19th C. Persian armour set. The entire set is made of exceptionally fine chiseled wootz iron, deeply and thickly inlaid with silver floral designs and overlaid in gold koftgari.

The quality of the chiseling especially on the bazuband is the finest early Persian chiseled ironwork that we've encountered in the open market, and other examples of this level of quality are typically only found in museum collections, of which the Wallace Collection has the premier collection of Persian armor.
