WWII Japanese Naval Dirk Dagger in excellent condition

An excellent condition WWII Imperial Japanese naval dirk or dagger. This example is in nearly perfect condition remaining much of the original gilding and mounted with premium quality fittings stamped with manufacturers markings, an uncommon feature. The scabbard is mounted with high quality ray skin, and premium quality fittings with the traditional sakura blossoms. The blade is beautifully made and is possibly a handmade gendai blade or maybe a high quality machine made blade with a false hamon running along the edge of the blade and curving upwards.
